Leading inclusive churches and ministries requires an understanding of
the intersections of race, power, and privilege. Those who lead need the
courage and capacity to engage in thoughtful conversation and action in
their context. This fellowship offers a historical
and cultural context for understanding how inequality plays out in our
communities. Participants will learn to recognize structures that
perpetuate inequality, address assumptions of other cultures and create
opportunities for diverse ministries to succeed.
During this six-month cohort, you will:
Gather with other leaders to explore the role of racism in creating and sustaining inequitable systems.
Investigate the importance of personal and group accountability in addressing inequity.
Learn strategies for increasing cultural responsiveness and promoting open dialogue.
Program Fee: $300 Dinner and reading materials will be provided for each session. Program facilitators include Jen Vihrachoff, Executive Director of The Boselli Foundation and Pastor Marc Dickerson of Amazing Life Church.
The cohort will meet one Tuesday a month from 6-8:30 pm at The Journey Church in Fernandina (Concourse Campus). January 21st, February 18th, March 24th, April
21st, May 19th, June 9th are the meeting dates.
